Job summary

Veeva Systems, Inc. seeks a Principal Software Engineer to join a new AI-first product team. You’ll be a founding member shaping the codebase and engineering org as a leader in AI-driven safety, regulatory, and clinical development platform for life sciences.

You will own features end-to-end, mentor engineers, and help build a scalable, enterprise SaaS platform with strong emphasis on engineering discipline and AI-assisted practices.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience, production Python.
• Experience building high-scale Enterprise SaaS cloud apps.
• Track record architecting high-volume products.
• Hands-on with Python, Git, FastAPI, Pydantic.
• Experience mentoring engineering teams.
• Excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Full Feature Ownership: design, develop, deploy, and maintain features; daily coding with AI assistance.
• Drive Solutions: collaborate with PM and Dev on technical design to deliver quality code.
• Rapid Problem Solving: analyze complex problems to accelerate robust solutions.
• Develop Best Practices: promote coding standards and AI-assisted engineering.
• Expert Code Review: provide reviews for engineers at all levels.
• Strategic Mentorship: grow engineering talent through structured mentorship.
