Job summary

Liquid Studios AI is seeking a highly technical Principal Engineer to own the architecture and direction of our content transformation pipeline. You will lead engineering standards and deliver high-priority roadmap features from prototype to production.

In this senior individual contributor role, you will collaborate with cross-functional leads to drive model strategy, cost efficiency, and enterprise reliability while mentoring others and delivering scalable AI-native solutions.

Qualifications

Senior engineering track record with production systems and reliability.
Experience shipping generative and multimodal AI in production.
Fluency with Python and TypeScript and at least one major cloud platform.
Strong background in orchestration, queues, storage, and large workloads.
Experience setting architectural direction and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

Define pipeline architecture and data models for ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
Evaluate and integrate models; bake-offs; swap providers with minimal rewrites.
Own unit economics: GPU/API spend, batching, caching, routing.
Build automated quality gates for outputs (dubs, clips) and performance metrics.
Set SLOs, monitoring, incident response, and data handling for catalogs.
