Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a Principal Engineer for the Analytics Intelligence Team to shape the architectural direction of conversational analytics. You’ll work with architects and engineers, communicate across product and leadership, and mentor other engineers while building production-grade AI/ML solutions.

You’ll collaborate daily with developers and product managers, own features from design to delivery, and apply your deep technical depth to deliver value for customers while aligning

Qualifications

• Experience in leveraging AI to improve work processes and decision-making.
• 12+ years building and shipping large-scale production software systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
• AI Native development with Claude Code or similar tools.
• Experience with vector-based retrieval, agentic/tool architectures, universal context engines, data catalogs, knowledge graphs, semantic layers.
• Strong focus on customer success metrics, including accuracy and evaluation datasets.
• Ability to coach engineers and grow a team.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to switch between technical detail and executive framing.
• Experience with BI/Analytics Platforms and NLQ.
• Understanding of the ServiceNow ecosystem and how it differs from other stacks.
