Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Principal Software Engineer – Mobile to shape AI-powered shopping experiences across our iOS and Android apps. You will define architecture, build reusable mobile patterns, and lead large cross-team initiatives at scale.

You will collaborate with product, design, data science, and AI platform teams to translate evolving Generative AI capabilities into fast, reliable customer experiences. Deep native mobile expertise and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience or 7+ years as alternative path.
• Experience shipping large-scale native mobile apps.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture for AI-powered experiences across iOS and Android apps.
• Build reusable mobile frameworks enabling AI across shopping journeys.
• Lead cross-team initiatives and architecture reviews.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the org.
• Partner with mobile, AI/ML, backend, data science, product, and design.
