Job summary

Walmart Global Tech seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead design and delivery of scalable platform capabilities. You will drive architectural excellence across teams, guide cloud-native infrastructure, and integrate AI/ML into intelligent software solutions serving millions of users.

You will mentor engineers, shape technical standards, and translate business needs into measurable success metrics while prioritizing reliability and operational excellence across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or related area with 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
• Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform engineering to deliver scalable, cloud-native infrastructure and reusable tooling.
• Drive full software development lifecycle across multiple teams with high availability and real-time data processing.
• Architect and integrate AI-enhanced applications using modern languages and model-driven design.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, influence architectural standards.
