Job summary

Waymo is hiring for a senior technical leadership role within the DUE Experience team. You will define the technical vision and architectural strategy for autonomous, multi-agent systems, focusing on transformative triage improvements.

You will explore and apply state-of-the-art agentic technologies to automate complex workflows and design scalable frameworks that enable dynamic tool use and multi-step orchestration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering focusing on architecting large-scale systems.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML with hands-on experience building autonomous agents and multi-agent systems.
• Proven ability to define technical strategy and influence senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and architectural strategy for autonomous, multi-agent systems within DUE Experience.
• Lead exploration and application of agentic technologies to automate triage workflows.
• Architect scalable agentic frameworks with dynamic tool use and multi-step orchestration.
• Collaborate to apply agentic workflows across the Waymo Driver evaluation lifecycle.
• Mentor engineers within DUE Experience and partner teams, fostering innovation.
• Turn big ideas into actionable projects and roadmaps for human-on-the-loop autonomous systems.
