Job summary
Waymo is seeking an experienced software engineer to advance multi-agent AI systems that empower engineers to write and test code faster through spec-driven development. The role reports to the Waymo DevAI engineering leadership and embraces a hybrid work model.
You will prototype and productionize AI workflow tools, collaborate across teams, and drive the adoption of agentic solutions for complex software tasks, including debugging and data pipelines.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building multi-agent frameworks and agentic AI systems.
- Deep understanding of modern SDLC and improving developer velocity.
- Proven track record with spec-driven development methodologies.
- Strong expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering and RAG.
- Proficiency in architecting and delivering large-scale software systems.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop multi-agent frameworks and tools to accelerate code writing and testing.
- Design and deploy agentic flows for automating engineering tasks.
- Create agents for perception debugging to speed troubleshooting in real-world driving scenarios.
- Develop data pipelines and evaluation strategies for production deployment of AI models.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to adopt novel DevAI tools.
