Job summary

Crux AI seeks a senior architect to set the technical direction for cross-cutting systems spanning TPU clusters, power, networking, and software. Reporting to the CTO, you will own the architecture of record and drive designs from first principles to production with the Compute, Networking, and Security teams.

You will attract and develop engineers, collaborate with research, and shape a multi-year platform direction.

Qualifications

• 15+ years designing and building large-scale networked or distributed systems.
• Track record of taking ideas from research to production as a founder/CTO/technical lead.
• Deep expertise in at least one of networking, distributed systems, operating systems, or AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of record for cross-cutting systems (fleet control, TPU co-design, multi-tenant isolation, telemetry).
• Identify key technical bets shaping cost, efficiency, and reliability over 5 years.
• Write designs and code; prototype, measure, and prove ideas before scaling.
• Review and raise the bar on architecture across Compute, Networking, Security, and Data Center Engineering.
• Serve as senior technical counterpart to external partners and customers on workloads on Crux.
• Attract and develop exceptional engineers and engage with the research community.
