Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Principal Core Infrastructure Engineer, AI Infrastructure, to help design and operate a high-performance GPU platform for AI workloads. The role involves building distributed systems, enhancing reliability, and driving architectural changes across thousands of GPUs in OCI AI Infrastructure.

Ideal candidates possess 6+ years in large-scale production systems, strong OS and networking knowledge, and proficiency in multiple programming languages including Java and Python.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a relevant technical field
• Strong understanding of operating systems, computer networks, and high-performance applications
• 6+ years’ experience delivering and operating large-scale production systems (1000+ server instances)
• Proficient in one programming language (Java/Python/C/C++/Go/Shell)
• Systematic problem-solving, strong communication, ownership mindset, drive
• Experience with full software development lifecycle

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of scalable distributed systems.
• Optimize code and systems for large-scale data processing and high-throughput requirements.
• Define scalability requirements for owned components and ensure design and implementation meet them.
• Design systems to scale with elasticity.
• Leverage data plane platforms for large-scale data retrieval, storage, and processing.
• Design performance and load testing.
• Build fault-tolerant components and systems with redundancy and failover.
