Job summary

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Ltd. is recruiting a Principal AI Engineer to own production Generative AI solutions across a value-stream pod. You will shape problems with examiners and operations, build AI agents and workflows in Python and React, and set standards for API-first delivery and observability.

Expect hands-on AWS, Terraform, and GitHub Actions expertise, with mentorship for engineers and a focus on reliability, governance, and impact on claims operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Ten (10)+ years of software engineering experience with at least four (4) years owning production Generative AI or applied-AI systems.
• Hands-on production experience on AWS, Python, React, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
• Experience leading technical delivery for a value stream or equivalent without people-management authority.
• Insurance, claims, healthcare, or a regulated domain experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical outcome of a value-stream pod from problem shaping through production operation.
• Architect and build production Generative AI agents, workflows, and applications in Python and React.
• Set and enforce engineering standards: API-first, contract-first delivery, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and observability.
• Lead technical solution design and architectural reviews; escalate enterprise standards conflicts.
• Mentor Senior and Junior AI Engineers and raise code quality and operational excellence.
