Job summary

UL Solutions seeks a Principal Engineer - Digital AI for the Consumer TIC division. Lead AI governance across enterprise and cloud AI, generative and foundation models, and AI lifecycle assurance. Shape offerings for standards, certification, advisory services, and assessments.

The role requires 15+ years in software/AI tech, 5+ years working with AI technologies, and strong ability to translate regulations into practical evaluation methodologies and customer-facing services. Hybrid global role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years in software platforms, cloud AI, or related tech domains.
• 5+ years direct experience with AI technologies and governance.
• Ability to translate AI governance and regulatory requirements into methodologies.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for AI governance and lifecycle assurance.
• Translate regulations and standards into scalable UL Solutions offerings.
• Lead evaluation methodologies, controls, and certification programs.
• Engage with customers, regulators, and cross-functional teams.
