Job summary

Sage is building AI/ML-powered capabilities to automate data migration into Sage products. As a Principal AI Engineer, you will lead hands-on design and delivery of applied AI solutions in a hybrid setup based in San Jose.

You will work across engineering, product, and domain experts to translate challenges into scalable systems, shaping AI engineering patterns and best practices for migration workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data science, ML, or AI engineering.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying applied ML solutions.
• Strong software engineering skills for production-grade systems.
• Experience with AI Ops / MLOps practices is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI/ML solutions to migrate data into Sage products.
• Apply ML techniques to data transformation, mapping, classification, and validation.
• Own technical projects end-to-end from definition to deployment.
• Drive solutions in ambiguous technical environments.
• Build scalable production systems and contribute to deployment and monitoring.
• Lead and mentor other engineers and establish patterns for AI across migrations.
