Qualifications

• 10+ years in data science or AI disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI/ML-powered data migration solutions.
• Apply ML and data science to migration problems: transformation, mapping, classification, reconciliation, validation.

Job Description Sage is looking for an experienced Senior AI Engineer to build AI-powered solutions that accelerate and automate complex data migration into Sage products.This is a senior, hands-on technical role for someone who can independently own substantial engineering initiatives, translate ambiguous problems into practical solutions, and take those solutions from concept through production.This is a hybrid role, three days per week onsite in the San Jose office.Key Responsibilities • Design and build AI/ML-powered solutions for migrating data from a variety of source systems into Sage products.• Apply machine learning, data science, and modern AI techniques to problems including data transformation, mapping, classification, reconciliation, and validation.• Own substantial technical projects end-to-end, from problem definition and architecture through implementation and production deployment.• Independently drive solutions to complex and ambiguous technical problems.• Build scalable, reliable production systems rather than prototypes alone.• Contribute to the infrastructure and operational practices required to deploy, monitor, and maintain AI systems in production.• Work closely with engineering, product, and domain experts to translate customer and implementation challenges into technical solutions.• Help establish engineering patterns and best practices for applying AI across Sage's migration capabilities.• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers.Qualifications• 10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, AI, or closely related engineering disciplines.• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field from a top-tier university.• Graduate study or an advanced degree in AI, machine learning, data science, or a related technical field is desirable.• Significant hands-on experience building and deploying applied data science and/or machine learning solutions.• Strong software engineering skills and experience developing production-grade systems.• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, or related AI Ops / MLOps practices is desirable.• Demonstrated ability to independently own and deliver large, technically complex projects.• Strong understanding of data pipelines, data transformation, and working with large or complex datasets.• Experience applying modern AI technologies, including LLMs, to real-world business problems.• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with significant technical ambiguity.Perks?
