Job summary

Autodesk, Inc. seeks a Principal Consultant to join the Global Consulting Delivery team in North America. You will lead enterprise‑level change, define innovative design and delivery strategies, and collaborate with customers to maximize Autodesk investment. Travel up to 50% is expected as you shape offerings and mentor staff.

You will work with the largest customers to develop success plans, interface with stakeholders, and ensure high‑quality design and operational deliverables across projects.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years hands-on buildings industry experience developing, managing, or delivering design, engineering, and management solutions.
• Excellent strategic thinking, program management, change management, process optimization and communications.
• Proficient in facilitating customer workshops using varied techniques.
• Strong initiative with the ability to drive decisions and resolve issues.
• Experience collaborating with diverse technical, sales, and project teams.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and structured project management.
• Excellent written and oral communication, including workshop facilitation, meetings and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Define innovative building design, engineering, and management strategies with customers.
• Collaborate with account teams to develop Customer Success Plans and engagements.
• Ensure delivery against the Customer Success Plan with project management support.
• Shape Autodesk Consulting service offerings and their delivery.
• Interface with thought leaders to support and shape product offerings.
• Mentor junior staff in engagement, change management and workshop facilitation.
• Advise on project estimation and participate in business development activities.
