Cotiviti is seeking a Principal Backend Engineer AI (Python) to design and build scalable backend services powering our centralized AI platform. You will develop RESTful APIs, SDKs, and multi-tenant authentication in Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask) for enterprise teams.

You will mentor engineers, drive technical vision, and ensure security and compliance across the software lifecycle while collaborating with global teams on deployment and operation of AI agents.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years backend development with 5+ years in Python apps and APIs.
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong Python programming with modern frameworks (FastAPI, Django REST).
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORMs (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM).
• Hands-on with agentic AI frameworks or SDKs is a plus.

• Develop Python/Java SDKs for teams to interact with the AI platform.
• Build backend services using Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask) for agent lifecycle management.
• Develop secure authentication and authorization for multi-tenant architecture.

• Implement asynchronous task processing for long-running AI operations.
• Mentor junior engineers and help set the AI platform roadmap.
