Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Principal Agentic Workflow & AI Engineer to build agentic workflows, orchestrate data analyses, and connect experimental outputs to models across the DMTL cycle. You will translate scientific priorities into automation roadmaps and deliver scalable AI-enabled discovery solutions.

Located at Spring House, PA (preferred), Titusville, NJ, or Raritan, NJ, this role emphasizes leadership in agentic AI, real‑time data pipelines, and end‑to‑end workflow

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related computational field.
• At least 3 years experience building scientific workflow orchestration and automation software.
• Hands‑on experience designing real‑time data pipelines and integrating diverse data and instrument outputs.
• Experience applying agentic AI and LLMS to scientific or laboratory workflows.
• Experience building on GenAI platforms and retrieval‑augmented approaches (RAG/GraphRAG).
• Ability to translate scientific objectives into scalable technical solutions and lead others.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and improve agentic workflows that automate secondary analysis for biologics discovery.
• Build real‑time pipelines connecting automation software, data stores, models, and compute.
• Partner with IT and platform teams to implement APIs, observability, versioning, and orchestration end‑to‑end.
• Collaborate with Enterprise GenAI teams to extend platform capabilities for biologics discovery.
• Mentor engineers and data scientists across the AI/ML space.
• Set technical direction and represent work in cross‑functional forums.
