Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in the United States seeks a Senior Agentic Workflow Engineer to build agentic AI workflows for biologics discovery. You will design and maintain real-time data pipelines, integrate AI models, and ensure production-ready orchestration across design‑make‑test‑learn cycles.

You will collaborate with ISD, Discovery, and GenAI teams, delivering scalable workflows and robust data provenance in a fast-paced pharma environment.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related computational field (or Bachelor's with substantial relevant experience).
• At least 2 years experience building scientific workflow orchestration or automation software, including agentic workflows.
• Hands-on experience designing real-time data pipelines and integrating heterogeneous data and instrument outputs.
• Experience applying agentic AI and modern LLM-based agents to scientific or laboratory workflows.
• Experience with enterprise GenAI platforms and retrieval-augmented approaches (RAG/GraphRAG).
• Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain agentic workflows and orchestration to support scientific data analysis and secondary processing.
• Implement automation and AI pipelines connecting software, data stores, models, and compute.
• Collaborate with IT, platform teams, and GenAI squads to ensure APIs, observability, and end-to-end orchestration.
• Work with Enterprise Generative AI to extend GenAI platforms for biologics discovery.
• Partner with MLOps, ontology teams to ensure data is reusable, semantically consistent, and production-ready.
