Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Principal Agentic Workflow & AI Engineer to design agentic workflows and orchestrate data processing for biologics discovery.

You will integrate AI workflows with real-time data pipelines and collaborate with Discovery, Data Science, ISD, and Enterprise GenAI teams to enable closed-loop learning and production-grade automation. Office locations include Spring House, Titusville, or Raritan; no remote option.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related computational field.
• At least 3 years experience building scientific workflow orchestration and automation software.
• Hands-on experience designing real-time data pipelines and integrating heterogeneous data.
• Experience applying agentic AI and modern LLM-based agents to scientific workflows.
• Experience building on enterprise GenAI platforms and retrieval-augmented approaches.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and improve agentic workflows for biologics discovery analyses.
• Build real-time pipelines connecting automation software, data stores, models, and compute.
• Partner with IT and platform teams for resilient APIs, observability, and orchestration.
• Collaborate with GenAI teams to extend shared platforms for biologics discovery.
• Mentor engineers and data scientists across the AI/ML space.
