DEPT® is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to serve as the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Tech Lead on website and platform projects in a US remote setting. You will anchor delivery, mentor teams, and shape architecture while coordinating with a CMS Architect and client engineers.

You will drive technical workshops, review code, and ensure quality across automated testing, security, and performance. Strong AEM, Sling, and CMS experience are required.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with proven success leading technical delivery for engineering teams.
• Hands‑on experience delivering production websites or digital platforms with AEM‑based solutions.
• Strong consulting, communication, and leadership capabilities for articulating technical tradeoffs to engineers, product partners, and client stakeholders.
• Hands‑on experience using GenAI productivity tools (Gemini CLI, Claude Code, Codex) to accelerate delivery.
• Understand core LLM concepts and apply AI where it adds real value.
• Experience leading CMS website projects and collaborating with CMS Architect for architecture ownership.
• Experience designing and maintaining external APIs, microservices, and distributed systems with secure auth, retries, and robust frontend rendering.

Aufgaben

• Anchor delivery from inception through launch with clear plans, timelines, risks, and definitions of done.
• Lead and mentor delivery teams; review PRs and provide constructive feedback.
• Partner with QA and DevOps on automated testing, security, accessibility, and performance.
• Define API contracts, payloads, retries, timeouts, and error handling across AEM and external systems.
• Unblock delivery by addressing defects, environment issues, and performance problems.
• Collaborate with the CMS Architect to translate architecture decisions into codebase conventions.
• Lead technical workshops, client demos, and day‑to‑day client communications.
• Support release readiness through development, UAT, hardening, launch, and hypercare.
• Leverage GenAI and craft sessions to improve estimates and reusable patterns.
