Job summary

DEPT is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (P2) to own backend workstreams for AEM websites and platforms. You will build services, content structures, workflows, and integrations behind experiences used by real people, clarifying semi-defined problems through to release.

You will collaborate with a CMS architect, frontend engineers, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders, while growing practical fluency in AEM as a Cloud Service and related Adobe tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years backend or full-stack development experience.
• Professional Java experience with OO design.
• Hands-on AEM backend development in production projects.
• Experience delivering end-to-end CMS (AEM) websites.

Responsibilities

• Own backend workstreams: plan, estimate, implement, test, and release.
• Develop AEM features: authoring interfaces, components, services.
• Model content and templates for maintainable author experiences.
• Build integrations with REST/GraphQL and external systems.
• Write robust, secure code with proper error handling and tests.
