Job summary

Franklin Templeton is seeking a Principal Accountant, Americas Accounting to oversee US regulatory reporting, stand-alone financials, and business support. The role reports to the Chief Accounting Officer for the Americas region and requires CPA and FINRA experience. Hybrid in-office schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• BA required; MA preferred.
• 5 years preferred; industry experience.
• Sound understanding of US GAAP.
• Prior history with regulatory reporting.
• CPA – required.
• FINRA registered preferred (series 99 specifically).
• Excel expertise.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review regulatory reporting filings (US FINRA focus, Dept of Treasury TIC-B, Dept of Commerce, US Census).
• Coordinate and oversee stand-alone audited financials and work with auditors on audit requests.
• Oversee and coordinate capital transactions with other finance teams (intercompany dividends and capital infusions).
• Provide business support and internal reporting across Investment Advisory, Business Administration, Broker/Dealer, and other units.
