Job summary

Winchester Ammunition in East Alton, IL is seeking a Primer Centerfire Charger Trainee to join our manufacturing team on an hourly wage of $26.98. The role operates on a rotating weekly schedule with 3 shifts.

You will prepare, measure, and mix primer ingredients, charge plates, and ensure safety protocols including lockout/tagout and PPE are followed. Candidates must be 18+, able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work weekends/overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must have flexibility to work weekends and forced overtime.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, measures, and mixes primer ingredients.
• Charges approximately 500 to 2000 plates per shift.
• Responsible for putting primer mix into tub and onto table.
• Knead mix into charge plate and transfer cup plates in/out of foiler.
• Adheres to all safety requirements including lockout/tagout and wearing required PPE.
