Job summary

Winchester Ammunition is seeking a Warehouse Operator in East Alton, IL. You will retrieve pallets, pick cases to fulfill customer orders, and repack boxes for less-than-full case quantities while using a stand-up or sit-down forklift.

This role requires the ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying weather with potential overtime. A positive safety record and compliance with PPE are essential, and forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, climb ladders, work at heights, in weather elements and extreme temperatures, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work alternative schedules, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Title: Warehouse Operator

Location: East Alton, IL

Salary: $26.29/hour

Schedule: Current schedule is straight split shift (11:42 a.m. to 7:42 p.m.)

Warehouse Operator Essential Functions:

• Retrieves pallets using a mono‑rail car within the storage rack system.
• Picks cases to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Repacks boxes of ammunition for orders requiring less‑than‑full case quantities .
• Utilizes a stand‑up and sit‑down forklift .
• Adhere to all safety requirements and the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) .

Warehouse Operator Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Forklift experience, preferred
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, climb ladders, work at heights, in weather elements and extreme temperatures, and lift up to 50 lbs .
• Flexibility to work alternative schedules, weekends, and forced overtime as needed.

Location‑Specific Requirements:

• This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
