Job summary

ERock is seeking a Prime Power Plant Manager to lead a large natural gas-powered microgrid at a single site in El Paso. You will oversee safe, reliable, and efficient operations, manage maintenance and staff, and interface with the customer to align on performance goals.

The role emphasizes hands-off leadership, setting standards, and driving continuous improvement across shifts, with responsibility for uptime, emissions, and safety targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in power generation, industrial operations, utilities, or mission-critical environments.
• At least 3–5 years of leadership experience managing supervisors, technicians, or skilled trades in a 24/7 setting.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems with generators, controls, and power distribution.
• Experience overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance programs and driving reliability.

Responsibilities

• Own site performance including uptime, availability, production, and emissions.
• Set operational rhythm, maintenance pacing, and outage plans for reliable operation.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed on time and to standard.
