We are ERock! ERock is a leader and innovator in distributed energy. ERock has responded to long-term trends in electricity by becoming the first smart-grid supplier to US energy consumers. The company installs, operates, and integrates its highly flexible, low-cost, and quick-response distributed generation to increase reliability and stability, reduce costs and decrease carbon footprint.
At ERock, our backup generators ensure that customers will never be without power, allowing their business to operate normally when there is an outage in the area. Our innovative approach provides customers with highly reliable, ultra-clean backup generation at a fraction of the cost of traditional backup solutions. We seek those who share our commitment to customer service, innovation, and ingenuity.
The Prime Power Plant Manager is the senior on-site leader responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a large natural gas-powered prime power microgrid serving a customer facility. This role has full accountability for site operations, maintenance execution, safety performance, workforce leadership, and customer interface.
This position is intentionally designed as a single-site, fixed-location leadership role with end-to-end ownership of site outcomes. The Plant Manager sets operational standards, establishes rhythm and discipline across shifts, and ensures the site consistently meets uptime, availability, production, emissions, and safety targets.
In addition to internal leadership responsibilities, the Plant Manager serves as the primary interface with the customer at the site, ensuring transparency, trust, and alignment on operational performance. The role also carries community engagement responsibilities, including building local recruiting pipelines, developing vendor relationships, and representing ERock as a long-term partner in the region.
This is a management and leadership role. While the Plant Manager is expected to maintain strong technical understanding and operational credibility, day-to-day hands‑on maintenance execution is not a primary responsibility. This role reports directly to the Prime Power Head.
We value diverse backgrounds and experiences, including military service. Veterans with experience leading teams, managing operations, or overseeing mission-critical systems are highly encouraged to apply. Skills gained in military service - such as operational discipline, safety leadership, maintenance execution, and personnel management - are directly transferable to this role and highly valued in our site operations.
