Job summary

Nashville Zoo is seeking a Keeper Aide to support the Primate Department within the Mammal Division. This entry-level role focuses on daily husbandry, enrichment, and guest engagement in a fast-paced zoological setting.

The selected candidate will assist with feeding, habitat maintenance, and records, while learning from experienced staff. Commitment to safety and animal welfare is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize animal areas, prepare diets, provide enrichment, and maintain records.
• Assist with daily animal care and habitat upkeep.
• Engage with guests through education and supervision of interactions.
• Observe animal health and report concerns to senior staff.
• Maintain accurate animal care records including ZIMS data entry.
• Assist with training, enrichment development, and handling techniques.
