Job summary

This National Guard position is for a PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (PREV WF) - NG Accelerated Hiring Authority, Position Description Number T0028P01 and T0029P01 and is part of the PA Joint Staff, National Guard. 1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement.

Key Responsibilities

As a Primary Prevention Specialist (PREV WF), GS-0101-11, you will serve as the point of contact for harm and abuse prevention programs and activities; provides program coordination and serves as the subject matter expert for the Brigade/Region IPP program. Support inter- and intra-personal violence prevention efforts and programming through the Brigade/regional leadership advisory committees, boards and working groups.

Serve as the Brigade/Region liaison for local military and civilian agencies to promote timely information exchange, coordinate collaborative prevention efforts, and establish resource links and community partnerships. Responsible for developing and overseeing healthy climate, resiliency, risk reduction activities, trainings, and communication campaigns within the Brigade/Region. Recruit, train, and facilitate military volunteers for prevention activity implementation.

Perform other duties as assigned.
