Job summary

Melioraclinic in Portland, Oregon is seeking a qualified naturopathic physician to provide excellent primary care with a focus on areas like Women’s health and Mental health support. You will coordinate patient care proactively and ensure timely documentation.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent Primary Care, with an additional focus in one or more of the following: Women’s health, Mental health support (including prescribing), Cardiology and Pulmonary interests, Physical medicine, Chinese medicine and Acupuncture.
• Support patients by focusing on their needs, coordinating care inside and outside our practice, and proactively going above the minimum necessary.
• Keep up with paperwork by signing charts and reviewing documents in a timely and efficient manner.
• Be confident in own skills, but comfortable consulting with others on difficult or complex cases.
• Employ Western medicine standards of care alongside naturopathic treatment options.
• Acknowledge the importance of a trauma-informed approach to patient care.
• Communicate clearly, confidently and competently to patients and other healthcare providers and be willing to refer to specialists where appropriate.
• Have fun while doing good.

Qualifications

• Carry a current, unrestricted license to practice naturopathic medicine in the State of Oregon and a current DEA license.
• Practiced clinically for at least 1 year post-graduation, ideally.
• Proficiency with one or more Electronic Health Record systems (ideally Athena).
• Maintain credentials with a majority of insurance carriers in Oregon, in particular: OHP, BCBS, Providence, Aetna, Moda, Pacific Source.
• Carry current malpractice insurance.
