Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Practice Manager to oversee daily outpatient operations, supervise clinical and administrative staff, and ensure efficient office workflows. The role partners with Operations Management and Administrative Director to deliver high-quality patient care.

This position supports patient access, revenue cycle activities, staff development, and adherence to organizational policies while fostering teamwork and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in practice coordination in the hospital or private practice setting.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to foster teamwork with decision-making skills.
• Proficient at oral and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving and situational analysis skills.
• Conceptual thinking skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Practice.
• Supervise all staff in practice settings, including time and attendance, coaching, evaluation, and discipline.
• Oversee revenue cycle, workqueues, charge entry for outside practices, open encounter reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Monitor patient satisfaction and improve access/workflows with staff and physicians.
• Develop and lead staff meetings to achieve department goals and optimize efficiency.
• Formulate and revise departmental policies to safeguard patient care and promote efficiency.
• Coordinate patient care needs across departments and communicate with patients appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with prior authorizations for procedures and cardiac testing.
• Provide for safe lifting and handling as required by role.
