Job summary

MedLink Georgia is seeking a dedicated Physician to provide direct patient care in Rabun, GA. This full-time role involves diagnosing, treating, and coordinating care within a PCMH framework to ensure comprehensive, team-based services for the community.

The physician will document patient histories, order and interpret tests, perform minor procedures, and collaborate with staff to uphold quality standards and patient education. Requires medical degree and residency completion.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of techniques and skills used in examination, diagnosis and treatment of physically ill patients.
• Extensive knowledge of recent developments in the field of medicine.
• Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Elicits and records information about patient's medical history using EMR.
• Orders and interprets tests and imaging.
• Makes diagnosis and prescribes care and medications.
• Performs minor outpatient procedures.
• Hospitals and treats patients as needed.
• Provides back-up coverage for other sites.
• Participates in community health promotion.
