Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited school of medicine.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Completed United States residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Current Virginia medical license or eligible for licensure.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
• Current BLS certification or able to obtain within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services for a broad age range.
• Perform preventive care, wellness visits, chronic disease management and acute care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans after history and exams.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; coordinate care with specialists.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with laws and policies.
• Counsel on disease prevention, nutrition, and adherence to therapy.
• Collaborate with care teams to support population health and quality initiatives.
• Maintain compliant EMR documentation; EPIC experience preferred.
• Participate in meetings and quality improvement activities.
• Supervise or collaborate with APPs, nurses, and medical assistants.
