Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs in Southern California seeks a dedicated Primary Care Physician to deliver comprehensive care to Veterans in an outpatient setting.

You will lead patient-centered medical homes, collaborate with a diverse care team, and participate in quality and educational activities within the VA system. EDRP eligibility and a broad benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an approved school and full, unrestricted medical license.
• Board eligibility or board certification by ABIM or ABFM preferred.
• Residency in an accredited program leading to board eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary and acute care services to Veterans in outpatient settings.
• Manage patient care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and documentation.
• Conduct same-day care services and cross-coverage for other providers as needed.
• Supervise and train resident physicians and medical students.
• Collaborate with mid-level providers to support high-quality care.
• Participate in quality assurance and process-improvement initiatives.
