Job summary

VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System seeks a full-time Primary Care Physician to provide longitudinal and acute care for Veterans across housing and outpatient settings. You’ll work with an interdisciplinary team and focus on chronic disease management and preventive care.

The position participates in Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) with potential loan repayment and a comprehensive VA total rewards package, including time off, insurance, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• United States citizenship or eligible per VA policy
• MD/DO degree from an approved school
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in a US state or territory
• Residency training in an ACGME/AOA accredited program
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Board eligibility or board certification by ABIM or ABFM (preferred)
• Surgery residents may be considered PRPs with caveats

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and acute care to Veterans across housing and clinic settings
• Lead a patient-centered medical home with an interdisciplinary team
• Manage chronic diseases and preventive care
• Collaborate with nursing, social work, and other disciplines to optimize care
• Engage in quality improvement and process improvement initiatives
• Fulfill schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm and participate in related duties
