Job summary

Essenti Talent is assisting a well established FQHC in Nassau County, NY to recruit a dedicated Primary Care Physician for two location coverage. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, day shift with time split between two sites.

Compensation ranges from $208K to $223K per year with standard benefits. The physician will provide comprehensive care across ages, perform exams, order tests, immunize, and coordinate with specialists.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited medical school.
• Licensed and registered as a physician with New York State.
• Board Certification or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Family Medicine.
• Experience serving both school-age and adult populations.
• Ability to travel between two locations.
• Interest in working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Preferably enrolled in Medicaid.

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a range of conditions in a general practice setting.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Prescribe medications, administer treatments, and provide immunizations.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Refer patients to specialists as needed and coordinate follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation, including appropriate coding.
• Participate in peer reviews, clinical education, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and billing practices.
• Participate in on-call and emergency coverage as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
