Optum California is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician for our Redlands outpatient clinic, in a clinician-led environment focused on value‑based, patient‑centered outcomes.

Responsibilities include outpatient management, consultations, well‑checks, and screenings for adults and seniors, with a steady patient census and a dedicated support staff. Competitive compensation and extensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• MD or DO (licensed to practice in California).
• Residency completed in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine.
• Active California Medical License and DEA certificate.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Proficient use of EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm (no call, no weekends).
• Manage patient care in an outpatient setting.
• Conduct consultations, follow-ups, well‑checks, and screenings.
• Care for adults and seniors; average daily census 18–20 patients.
• Scheduling: 40 min for new patients, 20 min for follow-up visits.
• Dedicated nursing and medical assistant support.

Primary Care Physician

Optum California is seeking full‑time Primary Care Physicians to join our Redlands outpatient clinic, where physicians practice in a supportive, clinician‑led environment focused on value‑based care, collaboration, and patient‑centered outcomes.

This role allows you to build meaningful, long‑term relationships with patients while practicing value‑based, patient‑centered care supported by an integrated care model. Backed by Optum’s resources, technology, and collaborative clinical teams, you’ll be able to deliver high‑quality care, improve health outcomes, and truly make a difference in the lives of the individuals and families you serve.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic (D.O.)
• Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, or Board Eligible for medical residents
• Active and unrestricted California Medical License or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current California DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain prior to start
• EMR Proficient

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:

• Monday – Friday / 8am – 5pm (no call, no weekends)
• Manage patient care in an outpatient setting
• Conduct consultations, follow‑up appointments, well‑checks, and schedule screenings
• Comfortable seeing patients of all ages, primarily adults/seniors
• Average Daily Patient Census: 18-20 patients

For California Residents Only: The salary range for California residents is $260,000-$360,000 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement.
