Job summary

HealthNet seeks a patient care assistant to support back office medical staff in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves gathering patient information, documenting vital signs and medical history, and assisting with room preparation and clerical tasks in the EMR.

Responsibilities include pre-calling patients, documenting in EMR, and ensuring smooth patient flow. A high school diploma or GED and BLS certification are required; Spanish bilingual ability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via AHA.
• Requires ability to collect patient information accurately.
• Experience with Microsoft products and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Travel may be required.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist back office medical staff with patient care as directed by providers or clinic managers.
• Greet and screen patients, gather and document vital signs and medical history.
• Document patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Support exam room preparation and organization of medical records.
• Assist with implementation of services and patient follow-up as directed.
• Maintain clerical functions and accurate documentation in EMR.
