Job summary

Valley Health Care in Elkins, WV is seeking a Provider to deliver a full range of primary care services within a PCMH model, under the Chief Medical Officer. You will work in a team environment to ensure comprehensive patient care and participate in policy development and program implementation.

The role requires WV licensure, 2+ years of direct primary care experience, strong interpersonal skills, and ACLS/ATLS/PALS consideration. Travel to related sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be duly licensed to practice in the State of West Virginia as a Provider.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in direct provision of primary care services is required.
• Well‑developed interpersonal skills as they relate to fellow VHC staff and patients in particular and the local medical community and public in general.
• Must be, or able to be certified in ACLS and certification in ATLS and PALS is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Works effectively with the Chief Medical Officer and other members of the provider and support staff in the provision of high‑quality medical care within a team environment.
• Manages a panel of regular patients and is responsible for their full range of medical needs in a team environment.
• Provides a full range of primary care services in the outpatient setting and assists in referral of patients to other outside services when appropriate.
• Cooperates with all provider staff in peer review processes to meet quality measures and demonstrate improvements as needed.
• Engages in community outreach activities such as health fairs and school clinics to promote services and wellness.
