The Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) role at WakeMed provides competent medical care under supervision in both inpatient and outpatient settings in WakeMed Physician Practices. The position includes referrals, rounds, notes, discharge summaries, procedures, and patient follow-ups, with an emphasis on collaboration with the medical team.

Educator responsibilities for PA/NP/CNM students are included, while adherence to NC medical/nursing board guidelines and WakeMed policies

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with valid licensure.
• DEA registration required.
• Basic Life Support within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year clinical experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide medical care under supervision of Medical Director and APP Manager.
• Deliver inpatient and outpatient care as needed.
• Complete referrals, consults, daily rounds and notes.
• Prepare discharge summaries, clinic notes and pre/post procedure care.
• Prescribe medications and conduct patient follow-ups.
• Educate PA/NP/CNM students and collaborate with the care team.
