Job summary

Prosser Memorial Health in Prosser, Washington is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician Assistant for our Grandview Clinic, a Rural Health Clinic. Join a supportive and collaborative team with low employee turnover and patient satisfaction scores above the 90th percentile.

The role emphasizes comprehensive primary care across all ages, chronic disease management, preventive services, and procedures within scope, with Epic EMR and modern technology to support patient care and quality

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active WA State licensure or ability to obtain.
• DEA registration and active prescriptive authority in WA State or ability to obtain.
• ACLS certification.
• Clinical experience in primary care or urgent care, preferred.
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.
• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma/COPD, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and prescribing medications.
• Perform preventive care services, including well-child and annual wellness exams, screenings, and immunizations, with patient education on healthy lifestyle choices.
• Perform office procedures within scope of practice, such as joint injections, skin biopsies, and laceration repair.
• Coordinate referrals, transitions of care, and community resources in collaboration with specialists, behavioral health, and clinic care team members.
• Maintain timely, accurate EMR documentation and meet coding, billing, and quality reporting requirements; participate in quality improvement initiatives.
