Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our primary care team. This role offers meaningful patient care within an integrated health system, with flexible scheduling and the ability to work from home up to one day per week.

You will collaborate with physicians and care teams, evaluate and treat patients across acute, chronic, and preventive medicine, and contribute to population health initiatives. Texas PA license and NCCPA certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Physician Assistant license.
• NCCPA certification required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• DEA registration required.
• Ability to meet credentialing/privileging requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose acute and chronic conditions.
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused examinations.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostics.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and manage chronic disease.
• Provide preventive care and health counseling.
• Educate patients and families about treatment and lifestyle.
• Coordinate specialty referrals and follow-up care.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice.
• Participate in population health and quality-improvement initiatives.
