Qualifications

• Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• DEA license/registration.
• Texas RN or RN compact license.
• National Nurse Practitioner certification in area of specialty.
• Ability to meet credentialing and privileging requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose acute and chronic conditions.
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused examinations.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and manage chronic disease.
• Provide preventive care and health counseling.
• Educate patients and families about treatment and medications.
• Coordinate specialty referrals and follow-up care.
• Perform procedures within scope of practice.
• Participate in population health and quality-improvement initiatives.
