Woodlands Medical Specialists Primary Care is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan under physician supervision. You will diagnose, treat, educate, and manage acute and chronic conditions while emphasizing prevention and wellness.

The role involves collaboration with physicians, nurses, and staff in an outpatient setting, with a focus on long-term patient relationships, preventive care, and high-quality, compassionate care.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification by the NCCPA.
• Active Florida Physician Assistant license.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with Florida laws and practice protocols.
• Perform routine office procedures within scope of practice.
• Provide preventive care, annual wellness visits, screenings, and health maintenance services.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers as needed.
• Document all patient encounters accurately in the EMR.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and value-based care programs.
