Job summary

Health and Life Organization, Inc. dba Sacramento Community Clinic in Sacramento, CA, seeks a licensed Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive primary care for patients across ages. You will assess, diagnose, treat, educate, and coordinate care, including acute and chronic conditions, preventive medicine, and referrals.

The role requires California PA licensure, DEA registration, BLS, and a Master’s in PA. Expect a collaborative team environment with emphasis on underserved communities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in conducting physical exams, diagnosing illnesses, and performing medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide general primary care services to acute and chronic patients, including assessment, diagnosis, screening, education and treatment; referrals; and follow-up services.
• Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions.
• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to adolescent and adult patients with illnesses across organ systems.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients up to 18 years with common illnesses and injuries.
• Evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to gynecologic patients with reproductive system issues.
• Evaluate and treat geriatric patients with age-related illnesses.
• Perform minor diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (laceration repair, suturing, EKG, X-ray interpretation, etc.).
• Manage preventive medicine including nutrition, immunizations, and health promotion.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary actions among healthcare professionals to implement treatment.
• Maintain patient history and complete patient charts per policies.
