Job summary

Woodlands Medical Specialists Primary Care is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive primary care across the lifespan under physician supervision. The PA will evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions while emphasizing preventive care and patient education.

Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and staff, the PA will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a focus on continuity of care and wellness.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Active Florida Physician Assistant license.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and exams.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with Florida laws.
• Provide preventive care and wellness visits.
• Coordinate care with specialists as needed.
• Document encounters in the EMR.
• Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives.
