Job summary

Memorial Health in Springfield, IL is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team as a Full-time Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider. This on-site position is based at Memorial facilities in the Springfield region.

Compensation is $65.91-$76.80 per hour, with participation in an annual incentive program dependent on role. On-site and updated clinical duties align with Memorial Health policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain licensing as an APRN or PA under Illinois law.
• Maintain IL Controlled Substance license within 3 months if not held at hire.
• Maintain DEA license within 3 months if not held at hire (where required).
• Valid CPR certification required.
• ACLS where required.
• Minimum of 1-year post-graduate as a mid-level provider preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Follow protocols under physician direction and encourage primary care follow-up.
• Partner with physicians to promote effective patient care.
• Document physician visits and tests for review and signature.
• Communicate with physicians for clarification before costly tests or referrals.
• Complete timely documentation per Medicare/Medicaid and MHS policies.
• Coordinate resources and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Evaluate and modify care plans to improve outcomes.
• Assist in education and development within the specialty area.
