Job summary

IMS Care Center in Payson, AZ is seeking a professional Medical Assistant for our Primary Care Clinic. You will support patients and families before, during and after visits, working alongside doctors and nurses to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting exams, managing referrals and scheduling, maintaining medical records, and ensuring accurate billing information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or MA certification.
• Experience with office medical procedures and EMR/scheduling software.
• 1–3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Must follow HIPAA guidelines and protect patient information.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by taking vital signs and documenting in EMR.
• Assists providers with exams and minor procedures; chaperone as needed.
• Coordinates care including referrals, pre-certifications, and scheduling.
• Maintains complete medical records and supports billing accuracy.
• Keeps exam rooms clean and equipment sterilized per OSHA guidelines.
