Job summary

IMS Care Center in Prescott is seeking a professional Medical Assistant to support the primary care clinic. The role involves taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, and assisting clinicians to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will coordinate pre-certifications, referrals and scheduling while delivering compassionate patient care. The successful candidate will have MA training, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• At least 1–3 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school, or passage of the MA examination.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals and review patient history.
• Prepare and clean room for patient and get patient prepared for physician encounter.
• Perform office-based testing and treatments related to patient care under clinician supervision.
• Coordinate and manage patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions and scheduling.
• Resolve patient concerns promptly.
