Job summary

Conviva Care Solutions in Venice, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and the care team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will assist with examinations, obtain vitals, properly document in the EHR, and help with procedures in a fast-paced clinic.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 40-hour work week. The role includes TB screening and opportunities to contribute to preventive care and chronic disease management within the team.

Qualifications

• Complete Medical Assistant training or certification; or 3+ years MA experience with company approval.
• Demonstrate clinical skills: vital signs, patient prep, documentation.
• Strong communication, organization, and ability to work with limited day-to-day direction.
• TB screening requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations; obtain vital signs; review and update medical histories; discuss symptoms; and assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, diagnostic screenings, vaccination administration, and other tasks as allowed by law and policy.
• Document patient information and clinical activities in the EHR.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and care team to coordinate visits, referrals, and follow-up actions.
• Support preventive screenings, chronic disease management, and quality improvement initiatives.
