Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred.
• Minimum 2 years; combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides general back-office support to physicians.
• Assist provider with exams as needed.
• Stock and monitor inventory levels of medical supplies.
• Monitors and maintains medication sample closet.
• Prepares and assists patient for testing; obtains results and lab results for physician review.
• Answer patient calls promptly and professionally.
• Responsible for final review of chart after chart prep.
• Train back-office staff when requested by Office Administrator.
• Responds and complies with information requests via fax or other methods.
• Completes all requests within office timelines.
• Follows confidentiality and privacy regulations.
• Delivers information to patient care areas including provider offices.
• Completes referral processes for procedures as requested.
• Provides leadership and guidance for excellent customer service.
• Communicates effectively with others.
• Pursues opportunities to learn and improve information transfer processes.
• Follows and maintains office policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required; includes phlebotomy.
