Job summary

Indiana University Health System in Fishers, IN is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our patient‑centered team. The role supports direct patient care under supervision, performs registration tasks, and ensures timely completion of orders and treatments in accordance with policy.

Responsibilities include maintaining EMR files, assisting with front office duties, and mentoring MA staff/externs as requested by leadership; BLS may be required and a MA program graduate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification required.
• Hands-on externship in a clinical setting completed.
• Non-certified candidates may apply for MA I with prior experience.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision and ensures accuracy of procedures.
• Performs registration and scheduling activities per procedures.
• Maintains EMR files and front office support as needed.
• Precepts MA team members or MA externs as directed by leadership.
